IESA continues its commitment to industrial automation with a new “Oil&Gas” project for SNF in Jhalora. The project is part of an enhanced oil recovery operation using Polymer Flood, an innovative technology that optimizes oil extraction while reducing its environmental footprint.
Our on-site intervention on the enhanced oil recovery process
In the field, our industrial automation expert is currently on assignment to carry out the various test phases prior to commissioning the installation:
- I/O (Input/Output) tests to check the connectivity of sensors and actuators.
- Functional tests to ensure the smooth operation of automated systems.
- Water injection tests, a crucial step before starting up the Polymer Flood process.
Polymer Flood enhanced oil recovery: a technology for energy efficiency
Polymer Flood is an advanced method of enhanced oil recovery that involves injecting a polymer solution into the reservoir to increase the viscosity of the water and improve the crude oil recovery rate. This technology offers several advantages:
- Increased extraction yield, maximizing production.
- A significant reduction in CO2 emissions, with an environmental impact divided by 3 to 6 per barrel produced.
- Better resource management, making the extraction process more sustainable.
