We supported Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) in its project to equip the first LNG-powered polar exploration vessel, Le Commandant-Charcot, with LNG tanks on behalf of the French company Ponant.
Our teams carried out the automation of the system that allows the regulation of the inerting pressure of the LNG tank insulation. This, in taking into account the space constraints of the cabinets on this type of vessel.
Our scope of work included :
- Design of the electrical plans, as well as the schematic of the cabinets (1 cabinet per tank)
- Cabinets manufacturing
- Development and programming of PLC and HMI with I/O rack
- Network setup
- Documentation
- Management of the Marine certification of equipment
- Bureau Véritas certification of IESA studies and achievements (electrical plans, cabinets, HMI, PLC)
- FAT and receiving
