Technical Day: presentation of various projects on ski lift installations at La Plagne
The Tarentaise valley recently hosted a technical day at La Plagne, an event designed to give a practical insight into a number of our projects. Organised with care and precision, the day provided a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the ski lift installations, in particular the 4-seater TSF Châlet Bellecôte and the Télébus single-cable cableway.
Careful organisation for fruitful meetings
The main aim of organising this technical day was to enable our customers to see our latest projects in action and to understand the technical challenges faced by this type of installation. We ensured that every aspect of the day was optimised to maximise the participants’ experience. The benefits of such an event are many: direct exchanges with our experts, practical demonstrations of equipment to explain operating philosophies, and a better understanding of the technological innovations being implemented.
Presentation of the installations visited
Châlet Bellecôte 4-seater fixed-grip chairlift
The Châlet Bellecôte fixed-grip 4-seater chairlift (TSF) was renovated as part of a project to restructure the ski area. The aim of the project was to replace the four gondola lift sections linking Plagne Bellecôte to the Rochu glacier, covering 7.7 km of line. Located at the heart of the La Plagne ski area, the 4-seater TSF is now equipped with the latest lift technology, guaranteeing optimum operation.
Télébus monocable cable car
The Télébus monocable cable car is another complex installation that we presented on the day. This innovative cable car offers an interesting transport solution for serving sites that are highly exposed to the wind, and where the required throughput is around 2,000 people per hour. The Telebus represents a significant advance in the management of skier flows, reducing waiting times and improving the user experience.

Châlet Bellecôte 4-seater fixed-grip chairlift
After carrying out the electrical and automation studies, we supplied the drive control, return and drive power cabinets. The return control cabinet included the control for the boarding conveyor, which required specific development.
For CE certification, we prepared all the necessary documentation for the STRMTG-ON body, in compliance with European Regulation (EU) 2016/424.
When the chairlift was relocated, the DC motor was replaced by an asynchronous motor, making it easier to maintain, saving energy and requiring a variable speed drive.
We also installed a ventilation system that recovers heat from the power room to heat the dining hall and control room, saving energy for the operator.
For this major project, we worked with reliable technical service providers: Ingelo for the mechanical work, Electralpes for the electrical work, and Polyair Industrie for the ventilation.
Télébus single-cable aerial tramway
We replaced the electrical control and power cabinets. Thanks to our workshop tests on a simulator, we were able to carry out the first automatic cycles on site immediately after the connection checks, enabling rapid commissioning.
In collaboration with the operator, we improved the ergonomics of the operator station by integrating a remote console. The power supply was completely upgraded to drive a DC motor, optimising cycle times while maintaining the required levels of comfort and safety.

- Electrical studies
- Programming the Siemens S7-1500 safety PLCs
- Manufacture of the electrical cabinets and simulator testing
- Commissioning and testing with the ski lift technical department
- Training of driving and maintenance personnel
